We have been busy... so busy that it has not been easy to improve Cyman's features as fast as we would have liked.  But we finally managed to include a couple of features that the majority of users have asked for, but the bad news is that going forward, we are unable to support Android v2.1. We really want to take Cyman places, and we need later editions of Android to do so - update your Android device!

- An omnipresent Cyman icon in the notification bar.
From any application, you can tap the notification icon to speak to Cyman directly.

- Cyman can read your incoming texts
If you turn on "read text" mode from your Cyman menu, Cyman will read your texts as they arrive.  A feature to reply straightaway will come soon.

- Cyman can tweet on  your behalf
To allow Cyman access to tweet for you, give him the command "authorise my twitter" and follow the steps on the resulting web page. Eventually you will be given a pin code which you need to type and send back to Cyman.  After thatyou can tweet away like the screenshot on the left!

- The UI has had some minor changes

We have also included the ability to control whether you hear Cyman's battery alerts or not (for those of you who have discovered that he does this!)

We are still working on that "other platform", and this release has a hidden feature to facilitate that... watch this space!

Thank you for supporting Cyman System! Please do drop a nice review on Google Play, and leave us feedback on our contact page to keep improving!

We have been busy with other things for the time being and will be on a break soon. But thought we would leave you with a few updates based on popular feedback.

You can now call the app Jarvis - or any other nickname!
- For example: "change your name to Jarvis"
Set reminders for your friends!
- For example: "remind Rhodey to pack my dvd tonight"
Send quick texts in one sentence
- For example: "text Pepper saying I am going to be late again"
The option to have Cyman use your browser for every web link
- Say "set browser to external" to always open in an external browser.
- Say "set browser to internal" to open web pages within the Cyman application (in most cases)

All these updates have made their way into your system without having to update your app... enjoy!

We hope you have been noticing the continual improvements of Cyman in the background, as well as the official upgrades.  Your feedback through our website is very valuable to us, and we try as best as possible to address them in our releases.

One such example, is a throwaway comment by a fan on our Google+ page hoping we would make the vibration alert during reminders optional.  This feature has made its way into version 1.7, along with the ability to...
  • Share Cyman with your friends by SMS, Facebook, Google+, Email and lots more
  • Copy text from any of the text boxes by long pressing it
  • Auto run mode for the scheduled commands.

At this point we should probably explain something.  With Cyman, you can either set reminders for yourself, or reminders for Cyman (called scheduled commands/tasks).  For instance, "Remind me to do the washing up at 9pm" will set a reminder for yourself.  At 9pm, Cyman will notify you and you can postpone it or mark it completed.  However if you said "Remember to get the tube status on the Northern line at 9pm", then one of two things can happen:

1. If auto run mode is off, Cyman will notify you that it has a scheduled task to perform, which you can choose to execute or postpone.
2. If auto run mode is on, Cyman will go ahead and execute the command at 9pm without further prompting.

We have many more exciting ideas to implement, but please bear with us!

Do spread the word about the Cyman Mark 2 app, and rate us on Google Play! We very much appreciate your support!

It has been a while, we realise that.  We have been very busy with other pursuits, Cyman Mark 2 bug fixes and... Cyman's future! (Which is exciting let me tell you).

For now, the present.  You can "send a text to ..." your contacts as well as calling.  This has been a frequently requested feature.  Aside from those features, many bugs have been fixed (and are being fixed continually in the background).  An annoyance that is being removed for this version, is the fact that Cyman would vibrate and inform you of a reminder  when scheduled - whilst you are on a phone call.

We did not give an official announcement when Cyman 1.5 was released, but there were exciting features released there too! Including:

  • Scheduling tasks for Cyman e.g. "Remember to get the next train from London Bridge to Greenwich at 4:45pm"
  • Open websites e.g. "Open website facebook.com"
  • Further bug fixes

If you need help with commands, press the menu button on the app and choose the "Examples" option.  Otherwise don't hesitate to contact us through this website!

Many of you have been asking for a settings menu, or at least a commands guide.  We are pleased to announce that we have made another quick release honouring your request.

Tap your menu button to see your options, then tap "Examples" to see a list of Cyman's capabilities by category.  Tap on a category to reveal commands, and select one to see the template appear in your text box.  You can edit the command if you wish, but you are an 'Enter' key away from giving Cyman your command.

There are many other improvements we have made conversation wise, check out the release notes on http://market.android.com/details?id=com.cyman.android

PS - Originally, we released version 1.4 which contained a few bugs.  These have now been addressed
